Today we took our inspiration from a bag of scraps and the book "Let's Make Faces".....

We have been looking at books related to faces like:
The holes in your nose
all the Dr.Seuss books Eyes, Noses, Feet......
Faces for Baby
and Let's make faces and more
We have also been taking a closer look at Picasso and the different lines and shapes he used for his work.
Here are some more drawings that are being created from our face exploration. I love the differences in the two!

Polar Bear Face Exploration

We took a break from looking at human faces for our face exploration and today we took at look at polar bears! We watched a live web cam while we drew polar bear faces....

We discussed the shape and line that we saw in the print outs of the polar bears while we drew.
