Making Little Paper Nests

Today we made little nests out of all of our old scrap paper, a little water, and some liquid starch. Some kids didn't like the gooey feel of the wet paper so I found some big tweezers to help with the project :)

Learning Letters in Glurch!

 

The kids had the best time playing with glurch today for something other than playdough. 

They worked on hiding jewels and stamping letters!

A Little Broken Bike....

We have had a broken bike in the shed for a while at school and decided to bring it in for "repairs". We have been looking at Alexander Calders sculptures this month and talking about sculpture in general. The kids were delighted to see the bike in the classroom last week with a bowl of "supplies" to fix/enhance/design with. This is the beginning......
