Today we took a closer look to see dot patterns in our paper towels. We have been looking around for more dots as we work on our collaborative bottle cap project.

Andy Warhol Art
We have been working on repeated artwork. I took pictures of each student and repeated it four times. Then they colored each black and white image of themselves in.
This project we talked about matching. There were two matched images in opposite corners and then they drew two more images to match and painted....
We are working on how to hold/use our brushes while we use liquid watercolor.

Class Dino
We started this project with plain empty boxes in an effort to create a work of art to cover the drinking fountain in the hall that is turned off. Unfortunately, we had to move it out of the hall but it gets to be in our room now!
We stacked them and brainstormed some ideas of what it could be....
a giraffe, building, giant banana, zebra... we let those thoughts simmer and Next, we painted the boxes green for more inspiration.
We stacked again and some more ideas came to us but we landed on dinosaur!
We voted on how the arms should look, if it had sharp nails or soft... and finally placed a mirror next to him to compare our eyes with his/hers, nose, teeth, nails etc....
The dino has been a fun addition to the room!
