There was so much enthusiasm for this project!
I collected small toy animals (from my son's toy bin) for students to draw profiles. Before we began I showed students pictures of the cave paintings of
Lascaux off of the ipad. I was able to zoom in on images to show them more detail which was very exciting.
We talked about how you can break down a drawing into shapes to create what you are looking at. These drawings were done with such patience, skill and enthusiasm they are such a treat to look at!
Next week we are diving into color and paint!
